Rolling Mill
The Rolling Mill is considered to be one of the most technologically advanced worldwide. The complete range of steel for the reinforcement of concrete is produced, either ribbed or smooth and in straight bars or in coils. In addition, a wide range of sections can be produced.
Special characteristics of the Rolling Mill include: excellent quality of products, high productivity, quick change-over time, high level of automation, endless rolling, four-slitting process to enhance productivity of small sections and cutting-to-length / bundling flexibility to meet customer demands.
The Rolling Mill consists of the following main equipment:
- Reheating Furnace.
- Descaler.
- Billet-welding machine.
- Succession of 18 stands, which consists of 6 Roughing Stands, 6 Intermediate Stands and 6 Finishing Stands.
- Water Box for the Heat Treatment of Steel.
- Fast Finishing Block (BGV).
- Cold Shears.
- Product weighing and bundling units (Bar Counter).
- Fully automated Water Treatment Plant of Best Available Technique (BAT).
The product range is the following:
- Steel for the reinforcement of concrete, smooth or ribbed, in straight bars (diameter: 8-40mm, length: up to 14m).
- Steel for the reinforcement of concrete and wire rod in coils, smooth or ribbed (diameter: 5.5-16mm, coil weight: up to 3000 kg).
- Profiles with equal or unequal angles, channels, T-sections (tees), flats and squares.
